“We need to fight again to achieve this dream, it’s still in our hands and being in with a chance of qualifying from this group was the dream from the start.”
That was a statement which was released by Daniele de Rossi before As.Roma played their Champions League match against Manchester City and ultimately lost against the Premier League club with a final scoreboard of 2-0.
The Italian defensive midfielder of As.Roma, Daniele de Rossi believed that his club had a chance of defeating or at least securing a draw with Manchester City and even a draw would have allowed As.Roma on advancing through the next stages of the Champions League but it never happened as Manchester City was just too much for the Italian club to handle and eventually won the game which was just what the English team needed in order to qualify into the one of the last 16 remaining teams in the European tournament.
As.Roma is doing impressively well in Italy as they are in 2nd place and following closely behind Juventus but it seems like the team of Rudi Garcia are still not good enough and don’t have what it takes to compete against Europe’s best.
There are a few players that are in the radar of Rudi Garcia as the French manager of As.Roma is well aware that some signings will be needed in order for As.Roma to turn into a competitive team that is ready and capable in competing in the Champions League and these new players can also help propel As.Roma to the top of the Serie A and take away the Italian League from Juventus.
One of the players that Rudi Garcia is interested in signing is PetrCech from Chelsea. The Czech is considered to be one of the best players in his position but he has fallen behind the pecking order of Jose Mourinho as the Portuguese coach prefers using ThibautCourtois and now Cech has had to settle with a place on the sidelines of Stamford Bridge only entering certain matches on slim occasions.
This situation has lured the attention in from As.Roma, PSG and Liverpool as they are all interested in signing the veteran Czech goal-keeper and are expected to launch offers for him in the January transfer window.
