Although it currently appears as a near-impossible outcome, fans of English Premier League giants Liverpool have continued to dream about their club pulling a major summer signing by acquiring the services of Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappé. The French forward has continued to have his future at the Parc des Princes up in the air and he has also not come out to confirm whether or not he will be extending his stay at the French capital.
Mbappé has spoken fondly of Zidane in the past and has formerly claimed that he would love to play under the French manager but with Real Madrid bringing in a new manager in Carlo Ancelotti, their hopes of luring Mbappé to the Alfredo di Stefano Stadium could now ba hanging in the balance.
Liverpool were once strongly linked with a move for Mbappé but that was before manager Jurgen Klopp came out to publicly rule out a move for the World Cup winner. Klopp revealed that the Anfield club are not ready and equipped enough to splash such huge amounts of money to compete with some of the biggest spenders of the transfer window in trying to sign Mbappé.
Mbappé has not signed a contract extension at the French club and there are fears that he could be leaving the club in the summer but with his teammate, Neymar recently committing his future at the club, he could be following in the Brazilian star’s footsteps and sign in the coming days.
